“Joséphine BAKER”, prototype pièce unique de 1995, nouvelle version humoristique de celle de 1923 (N° 554) H 47 cm. Etat d'origine avec son coffret. Josephine Backer , prototype 1995, “one of a kind” Josephine Baker is one of the most attempted pieces of the old Lenci production, not only for the popularity of her public figure but mostly for the funny, bizarre, unique, comic Lenci rendering of her personality. On the catalogue of the 1923 the doll Josephine (n. 554) is pictured in 3 different images (colour copy is included with this exemplar) and she seams to be dancing , with her banana petticoat and her gold bracelets on arms, legs and even on her big toe. This prototype has been an effort from the modern Lenci to give again life to this incredible personage, reissuing the completely felt body and accessories and presenting again the funny fringe of the black felt wig .
